Catherham and Renault to Build Two Sports Cars Together

Rejoice; that new Alpine is going to be a real product.

The Renault Alpine concept (pictured) was amazing, but really just presented as a design exercise. Luckily, the public reaction to the beautiful concept was so overwhelmingly positive that Renault decided to build it. In order ot create the car, the French giant has teamed up with British F1 and track-car maker Caterham. Renault will get an Alpine out of the deal, but it's the Caterham that little to nothing has been said about.

Caterham did announce that the company wanted to bring a day-to-day sports car (you know, with a roof and stuff) to market in 2015, so we're guessing that Renault is going to help out with passenger car tech on both cars, while Caterham deals with the sporting elements.
