Messages on the eye-black are nothing new. Back in college, Tim Tebow would write bible verses on them while Reggie Bush used to put his hometown area code. But this one doesn't make much sense. On Saturday, the Blue Jays' Yunel Escobar wrote a homophobic slur in Spanish on his eye-black. Now, even though we won't spell out what it says, we're pretty sure that a simple Google search will give you the answer. Anyway, after all the recent attention regarding Escobar's choice words, the MLB is looking into the matter.

As of right now, all we know is that former Jays pitcher Dirk Hayhurst believes that the whole thing was a clubhouse prank while Escobar himself has gained a reputation for wearing eye-black with sayings on them. Either way, it looks like this is a case of a joke going too far and that should not be tolerated.
