Last night, Tampa Bay's Will Rhymes took a pitch on the forearm in the bottom of the eighth inning in a game against the Boston Red Sox. That's nothing new. However, things turn a horrifying turn when Rhymes suddenly collapsed on the field, only to be held by his first base coach, George Hendrick. After several minutes lying on the turf, the Rays infielder was able to get up onto a cart under his own power. The injury is being reported as a bruised forearm and it's a nasty one at that.
