Ozzie Guillen Has Been Suspended For Five Games For His Recent Fidel Castro Comments

Is five games enough?

None

Just five games into his first season with the Miami Marlins, manager Ozzie Guillen has already earned his first five-game suspension. Shortly before he was scheduled to hold a press conference this morning to apologize for the recent comments that he made about Fidel Castro, the Marlins announced that they were suspending the outspoken manager for five games.

"The Marlins acknowledge the seriousness of the comments attributed to Guillen," said a statement from the team. "The pain and suffering caused by Fidel Castro cannot be minimized, especially in a community filled with victims of the dictatorship."

So, is the five-game suspension enough? Or, will the Cuban-Americans who have been protesting against the team continue to do so? Time will tell. But, for the time being, Guillen won't be managing the Marlins.
