When Hines Ward was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this month, a lot of NFL fans were surprised that he wouldn't be retiring in a Steeler uniform. As it turns out, he will be.
No, the Steelers didn't agree to take Ward back. But they did host him for a press conference earlier this afternoon where he said that he "will remain a Steeler for life" and officially announced that he is retiring from the league. And, in doing so, he retires as the all-time leader in every major receiving category for the Steelers.
You've been putting in a lot of work for a lot of years, dude. Enjoy retirement.
