And there goes the Nets franchise...

Just one day after Dwight Howard"opted-in" to his contract and agreed to stay with the Orlando Magic next season, it's becoming pretty clear to us—and just about everyone outside of the Nets organization—that Deron Williams is not going to return to the Nets when they move to Brooklyn later this year.  Earlier today, D-Will was asked whether or not he'd consider following Howard's lead. And his answer was pretty cut and dry.

"I'm not going to opt-in," he said. "It's not monkey-see, monkey-do. Wherever I go is hopefully where I'm going to retire."

"Wherever I go...," eh? Sounds like he's as good as gone. Enjoy him while you can, Nets fans.
