Norse Projects, the Scandinavian design house known for their timeless casual/performance clothing have just released their collaboration with adidas Consortium entitled 'Layers'.

The collaboration takes heavy influence from the natural surroundings of Denmark and uses the outdoor-pursuits focused Terrex model and lifestyle classic Campus 80s as a template to recreate Norse's vision with high attention to detail.

Looking to rock formations of the Danish islands of Fur and Møn, the Terrex is constructed using multiple translucent layers that are welded together to form a hard wearing outer shell. Reflecting the setting that inspired the collaboration and its namesake, GORE-TEX sits within the layers to provide high levels of weather protection. The Terrex is finished in light sandy tones that further echo the layered cliff faces from which the shoe is inspired.

The Campus 80s is styled in darker asphalt tones, comprised of grey accents and a textured Primeknit upper that create a casual, super-wearable everyday shoe to contrast the heavily technical look of the Terrex. Both shoes are finished in an understated manner that reflects the stylistic nature of Norse Projects.

'Layers' by adidas Consortium and Norse Projects launches globally on August 19th, with a pre-release from Norse Projects on August 9th.
