It's the end of an era at Crep Protect.

The brand's founder, rapper and Roll Deep member J2K, has announced he's stepping back from his day-to-day role running the company in order to focus on new projects.

Crep Protect has become an essential for every sneakerheads and the brand's growth has actually been one of the country's best examples of young entrepreneurship in recent years, since being founded by J2K five years ago.

At its heart, the brand's core product is still the best way to keep your sneakers clean but their growth has seen strategic partnerships with giants including New Era and the NBA.

Speaking on his decision to leave Crep Protect, J2K told Complex:

"After careful (and long) consideration, I have decided to step back from the day-to-day running of Crep Protect. I will remain a major shareholder of the company but will be focusing on new projects and endeavours, moving forward. Under my role as co-founder and director, Crep Protect has gone from a floating idea to the global reach it has today.

Roll on J2K's next masterplan.
