Quality on Air Jordans has always been a hot topic, and the brand has stepped it up over the past couple years. One of the shoes with the best-grade leather was the "Shattered Backboard" Air Jordan 1, a sneaker inspired by the time Michael Jordan broke a backboard at an exhibition game in Italy in 1985. The sneakers themselves take the colors of the jersey Jordan worn in the game, and the leather on them was A+. The same shoe is back this year, but in an "Away" version of the "Shattered Backboard" color scheme.

We received a pair of the shoes at the Complex office and we wanted to give everyone an up-close look at them before their release tomorrow. The leather is great on these, too, although it's slightly different on the heel. They're worth the $160 that Jordan is asking. Expect them to drop tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. on Nike.com. In the meantime, take a look below.
