Back when FILA first designed the Trailblazers in 1990, they were a technical hiking and trekking shoe, inspired by the mountains surrounding FILA's home town of Biella. Over the course of the 90s, though, they became youth culture icons for very different reasons. For some, the Trailblazers' all weather durability made them perfect raving footwear. While for others, the shoes' understated black leather look made them passable as school shoes.

To mark the Trailblazers' return, and to celebrate their impact on British youth culture over the course of the 90s, FILA have joined forces with LAW Magazine. The partnership looks at the day-to-day life of the suburban youth who wore the Trailblazers to school or out raving back in the 90s. The images look back at a time when music and clothes were the only escapes, and you'd save up from your paper round to cop new trainers.

The Trailblazers are available now in black, bike red, pine and espresso. You can see the rest of the FILA and LAW lookbook below.
