A baseball sneaker tradition continues this year as adidas has made two commemorative cleats for Jackie Robinson Day on April 15.
This special edition pack includes the Energy Boost Icon 2 and adidas' lightest cleat, the adizero Afterburner 2. Both styles were inspired the way Robinson changed the game of baseball with his lightning fast base-stealing and feature hand-drawn sketches of the Hall of Famer sliding into second base.
Additional details include wool materials inspired by baseball uniforms from the 1940s, embroidery of Robinson's "42" number, and newspaper headline-inspired graphics.
As of now, there is no release information for either of these cleats, but adidas encourages fans to keep an eye on its social media and follow the hashtag #JackieRobinsonDay.
