March Madness isn't just limited to the hardwood this year, as aspiring sneaker designers are going head to head in a tournament that will ultimately see one design produced and sold at Foot Locker locations worldwide.

Pensole, the footwear design program founded by former Jordan Brand designer D'Wayne Edwards, has just launched its 2016 World Sneaker Championships tournament. The concept here is simple—64 of the best potential sneaker designs are matched up in a bracket styled after the NCAA tournament. Round 1 voting is now open through March 17, and the field will continued to be narrowed down until championship voting commences on April 17.

The tournament includes a wide variety of concepts created by designers from around the world, so be sure to take some time to really look through the group and choose your favorites. When it's all said and done, the winner will be sold at Foot Lockers around the world. Place your vote here
