Nike is without a doubt the leading sportswear brand and its constant innovation will not stop. Following the four year anniversary of the Nike's Flyknit technology, the sportswear giant is bringing it yet another footwear category – tennis.

According to Footwear News, the NikeCourt Air Zoom Ultrafly is inspired by football, soccer, and running footwear and looks to change the dynamic of tennis footwear.

“If you were to ask someone what a tennis shoe looks like, they would say that it’s usually made out of leather and pretty wide and boxy on the toe,” said Michael Hui, Nike senior designer of tennis footwear, in a statement. “[The NikeCourt Air Zoom Ultrafly] really shatters a lot of those myths.”

The NikeCourt Air Zoom Ultrafly features a Flyknit ankle collar similar to the ones seen on the Nike LunarEpic and even the Nike SB Koston 3 and is referred to as a "rocket ship for your feet" by the brand.

Just in time for the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament, the NikeCourt Air Zoom Ultrafly releases in two colorways on March 9 at select retailers. Stay posted for more official information.
