Now that Los Angeles Lakers swingman Nick Young has had a few months to settle into his new adidas deal, he recently sat down with Sole Collector to dish out the details on how it all happened.

According to Swaggy P, his biggest motivation behind leaving Nike was the brand's reluctance to shine the spotlight to players other than the big three — LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant. "Nike is really only three people. Kobe, Durant, and LeBron," Young said.

On the other hand, Young said that he liked adidas because it doesn't show favoritism amongst its players, adding, "I like the concept of how adidas adds everybody in their shoe commercial. The way adidas is going and the waves they've got, I was getting on board."

And if you're wondering whether or not the Kanye West deal had anything to do with Young's decision, the answer is of course. "That helped adidas out a trillion times. And of course I asked for the whole Kanye collection. Bring me everything," Young said.

Check out the full interview, which also includes Swaggy P's thoughts on his sneaker free agency, sharing kicks with Gilbert Arenas, and more over at Sole Collector now.
