It’s happening. Finally.

For the first time since 1999, the White/Cement Air Jordan IV is back again this Saturday in all of its OG glory. The colors are returning, as are the cement speckles and the history. But what has everyone truly excited is, of course, the Nike Air on the heel. It speaks to a time and place in sneaker history that’ll never be forgotten. Even in 2016, some 27 years since this shoe first released, you’d be pressed to find a release more hyped than this one.

When designer Tinker Hatfield was first sketching concepts for what this shoe could eventually become, he knew he was following up a classic. The Jordan III effectively saved the line, kept Michael Jordan with Nike, and changed sneakers forever. And so Hatfield didn’t want to reinvent the wheel. He simply worked to improve what they’d already established. The result was a sneaker that introduced nubuck leather and mesh for the first time in Jordan’s line, while taking inspiration from all the hard work Jordan was putting in on and off the floor.

Now 30 sneakers deep, the Jordan signature line has gone through makeovers and realignments, consistently evolving to stay ahead of the game. Despite all of that, the IV remains one of the best Jordan sneakers ever.

This weekend, grabbing a pair (or two) of the coveted silhouette won’t be enough. Finish the whole fit with the latest Game Plan collection from Champs Sports. Featuring some grey-based fleece shorts as well as a T-shirt and socks sporting those memorable cement hits, the look is a perfect complement to the sneaker.

There is a lot of heat dropping in 2016. It doesn’t get much better than this, though.

It’s hard to top the iconic cement style you’ll find on this retro. Don’t stop there, though. Over the years, Jordan has consistently released complementary gear sporting this look and it always stands out. For this collection, there’s a T-shirt rocking the speckles as well as a pair of socks, set off with a red Jumpman logo. Complete the fit with some fleece shorts or even a tee that features one of Jordan’s most famous 1980s images.
