2015 saw a handful of sneaker trends that you just couldn't escape — high-profilecollaborations, teched-outrunning silhouettes, and "remastered" retros, just to name a few — and according to the experts, you can expect more of the same in 2016.

Highsnobiety recently linked up with industry veterans like Concepts' Deon Point, James Trivunovic of size?, and Mr Porter's Sam Lobban to pick the group's brain on some of the trends they're expecting to see in the coming year, many of which should sound familiar.

"Monotone has been, and always will be, a constant," Point tells Highsnobiety. "Expect to see more of that with veg tan still in heavy circulation."

Meanwhile, Trivunovic expects knitted materials to remain a mainstay, and says adidas will continue to give Ultra Boost a big push. "This will make the Ultra Boost a lot more visible in the market from 2016 — so it will really be competing with the Flyknit," Trivunovic said.

You shouldn't expect the retro trend to slow down any time soon, either. Lobban points to "more Sock Dart, Presto and Mayfly releases," while Point is calling for a huge year for the Air Jordan IV.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Read the entire trend forecast at Highsnobiety.
