Kyrie Irving is considered one of the best young guards in the league, so it had to sound like a safe bet when Nike decided to include the Kyrie 2 in its "All-Star" collection, but it looks like he just missed the cut for the game. Fan voting helped Kyle Lowry sneak past Irving at the last minute, which makes sense considering that the game will be held in Toronto. Another important detail worth noting is that Irving missed a significant part of the season recovering from knee surgery, so him not making the game is understandable.

Nike isn't the only brand that counted its All-Stars before all of the votes were tallied though. Adidas made "All-Star" editions for Derrick Rose and Damian Lillard, despite both players not being voted in. Both Irving and Lillard could be considered snubs in a lot of people's eyes, so expect their "All-Star" sneakers to still sell to fans who voted for them.
