As the Air Jordan Retro train rolls along images of the upcoming IX Retro Low in "Black/White-Gym Red" has surfaced.
For many longtime Jordan 'heads, these IXs bear a striking resemblance to an old pair of Derek Anderson PEs. Anderson, who played for several NBA teams and was the first player to sign with Jordan Brand, had a host of memorable player exclusives including a pair of "Black/White" IX Lows. However, unlike those PEs, these upcoming IXs have a snakeskin mudguard instead of sparkled nubuck and its inner lining comes in red rather than black. The "Air Jordan" tongue label also sees a change from white to red.
The shoe is slated to release to release Saturday, April 16 and will carry a price tag of $170.
