Following a preview of upcoming NMD Runner styles, we're now getting a better idea of what adidas has planned for another one of its most popular sneakers, the Ultra Boost.

Based on this image, it looks like our number one sneaker of 2015 is in line for a serious makeover. In fact, the only trace of the original Ultra Boost we can see is its signature Boost sole, as the entire upper has been tweaked with design cues that are similar to recent Y-3 releases like the Hayworth Guard. There's a sock-like Primeknit ankle sleeve, with knit material extending to the base of the shoe where it's covered by a synthetic overlay.

Considering the way that the Ultra Boost runner was embraced by the cozy boy crowd, it only makes sense that adidas would use the sneaker's defining feature, its unique Boost sole, for more lifestyle offerings. It remains to be seen what exactly will come of this new model, but based on the information provided by adidas Ultra Boost Worldwide, it is in fact a Y-3 sneaker and will be releasing sometime in March.
