The Nike Kobe 11 isn't the only major sneaker unveiling going down today, as adidas has just announced the details for Damian Lillard's second signature shoe.

The adidas D Lillard 2 takes inspiration from the point guard's upbringing in Oakland, Calif., with a number of details that trace back to Lillard's early days, including "Oak" and "Land" hits and a reference to Brookfield, the neighborhood he grew up in, on the sneaker's outsole.

"Signature details — I wanted it to have more hints of my background," Lillard said, noting that his close proximity to the adidas HQ in Portland made it easy to communicate ideas and pitch concepts to designers.

From an on-court perspective, the D Lillard 2 is all business. It's built around a Techfit bootie for lockdown and features a Bounce midsole for cushioning that is both lightweight and responsive. Unfortunately, there's still no Boost this time around, but that's allowed the sneakers to remain affordable per Lillard's own wishes.

The D Lillard 2 will debut in two colorways: a cream and off-white suede-based "Home" and a stealthy black-based "Road" makeup with leather detailing. Priced at $105 apiece, the "Home" officially drops January 22 with the "Road" style following on February 5.

Additionally, limited pairs of the "Home" colorway will be available one month early on December 26 from adidas.com, Eastbay, and Foot Locker. Take a closer look below.
