adidas is about to celebrate one of its defining skate sneakers in the most premium way possible.

As the brand celebrates its 13th season of Dennis Busenitz-endorsed footwear, it's taking the iconic Busenitz Pro silhouette on a trip to the adidas factory in Scheinfeld, Germany for a reproduction that could rival the quality of high-end sneaker brands. Known simply as the Busenitz Scheinfeld, this release follows Made in Germany versions of the Hamburg, Stan Smith, and ZX 500.

The Busenitz Scheinfeld sticks with the same famous mix of the adidas Samba and Copa Mundial designs that made the original Busenitz Pro famous, but it's been reworked with premium full-grain leather, gold Three Stripes branding, and a woven "Made in Germany" tag at the tongue. It's not only about the materials, though, as the German manufacturing process also allows for more attention to detail and quality control, right down to the stitching.

With that in mind, the Busenitz Scheinfeld is worth every penny of its $250 retail price. The sneakers will drop at select U.S. stockists and via adidas Skateboarding on Friday, December 18.
