There aren't many Major League Soccer players who can say that they've designed their own adidas sneaker, but one lucky Portland Timbers member recently got the chance to do just that.

Left winger Rodney Wallace was invited to the adidas North America HQ in Portland, where he linked up with adidas Director of Color & Materials Design Josh Herr to walk through the process of creating a colorway.

The pair considered several possibilities before ultimately deciding on the Tubular Runner, which met Wallace's desire for something that is "streetwear, but at the same time performance."
