In his continuing crusade to provide the sneaker community with knowledge and to protect them from the possibility of unknowingly copping fakes, Instagram's fake_education has released a new guide detailing the differences between legit and fugazi pairs of the coveted Nike Air Foamposite One "Chrome."

In his latest posts, fake dropped four different images each depicting specific areas and details sneakerheads should be looking at if they're in the market for a pair of Chromeposites.

In this first picture, the outsole is the focus with three main areas of interest. The area highlighted in green refers to the shoe's outsole. The authentic pair features a more icy bottom compared to the clear ones seen on the fakes. Of the three details on the outsole, this might be the toughest one to spot. But don't fret, the next two are a bit easier to see. Highlighted in orange is the Penny "1 cent" logo. On the authentic, the logo is correct, while the fake has it backwards. Last, but not least, the traction, circled in red, is much darker on the authentic while the fake version looks pretty washed out and terrible.

Moving to the back heel, the "NYC" logo is the focus now. When comparing the two, the authentic uses a heavier weight on its while the fake pair is thinner. Also, the kerning between the Y and the C is also much tighter on the real pair than the fugazi joint.

In the third image, the forefoot, specifically the toe, is the central focus. Highlighted in red, you can clearly see the difference in the height of the toe with the fakes featuring a much shorter build.

For the fourth and final image, fake_education highlights the upper portion of the lateral side of the Chromes. Circled in red, the grooves on the authentic pair stops at the bottom of the eye stay while the grooves on the fake pair fall short.

Now that you're better informed, good luck in finding a pair of Chromeposites that won't break your pockets and make sure to check out fake_education for more fake versus real information.
