Sponsored athletes wearing competitor brands was a hot topic this summer, thanks to James Harden and his transition from Nike to adidas. As it turned out, Harden was simply honoring his expiring contract, but now his teammate Dwight Howard looks like he ditched his new Peak sneakers for some "Poison Green" Air Jordan Vs. The NFL shared a photo on Instagram of Howard mixing it up with Houston Texans fans before their Thursday Night Football matchup vs. the Indianapolis Colts.

Howard recently left adidas to sign with Chinese sneaker brand Peak, and while the details of his contract are unknown, we bet Peak executives won't be happy about their newest signee wearing another brand. To add to the blow, Howard chose to wear Air Jordans to a massive public sporting event that could have been great exposure for Peak. Sure, his contract could be strictly for basketball related events, but it's unlikely that a brand would invest millions into an athlete endorsement without expectations beyond the court.

Howard has never been one to shy away from controversy, so this move doesn't exactly surprise us.
