One of the biggest headaches — and in certain cases, nightmares — for vintage and O.G. sneaker collectors is dealing with the inevitable problem of midsole disintegration. It's something we've seen time and time again, yet there remains a huge sect of collectors that deal exclusively in originals.

Where there's a problem, these devoted vintage collectors will come up with a solution, and that's exactly what the sneakerhead in the video above did. Blessed with a pair of autographed O.G. "White/Cement" Air Jordan IVs, this guy took the midsole from a pair of 2006 "Mars" IVs and got to work.

Although the clip seems to skip over some of the necessary painting to give the "Mars" midsole the "White/Cement" look, the results speak for themselves. The shape, size, and colors of the midsole match up almost flawlessly, which is enough to make us want to hunt down a pair of O.G.s and give this a shot. But we'll let you be the judge, check out the clip above.
