Collaborations on the New Balance 999 silhouette are few and far between, but that only makes each one that much more special. From Concepts' "Kennedy" and "SEAL" versions to Ronnie Fieg's "Steel Blue" makeup, this model takes a quality over quantity approach when it comes to collabs, which is why 'heads are already buzzing about the next one.

Louisiana-based store Sneaker Politics has designed its own take on the 999, which has been dubbed the New Balance "Case 999," and today we're getting a detailed look courtesy of founder Derek Curry.

From what we can see, the sneaker uses a navy suede base with what appears to be a heavy dose of Horween leather detailing and hits of vibrant red towards the heel. Meanwhile, the tongue features an eye-catching navy and red paisley pattern.

Judging by the info provided by Sneaker Politics thus far, this collab has a detective/crime scene theme, but we'll be sure to update you with the full story as soon as we hear more. These are set to drop on September 26 for $165.
