Le Coq Sportif are celebrating their French heritage with an extremely limited and exceptionally French sneaker collaboration. In partnership with Barcelona-based retailer LimitEDitions, they will be releasing the Eclat 'Patachou', made entirely in France.
The shoes upper is made from a premium-waxed leather sourced from the Tanneries Roux, who have been supplying the fashion and luxury footwear industry for the last two centuries. The bobbin-lace detail on the heel is a shout out to both cultures, a technique that was developed in France before being adopted in Catalonia.
To top it all off, Le Coq have packed the shoes in a wooden engraved box, along with a care package which includes a leather bag, wax, a brush and inserts to maintain the shoes original aesthetic.
Releasing today and limited to only 80 pairs, this is something that fans of '90s sportswear and high-end sneakers shouldn’t sleep on. Take a look at more images below.
