It's been a rollercoaster of a year for Kanye West and adidas. Each sneaker that the two have released together has been met with fanfare, even amidst reports that West will not be collaborating with the brand for Yeezy Season 2. Before all of this, there was a man who introduced Kanye to the people at adidas, and it's none other than Jeremy Scott, who's had an ongoing relationship with the brand since 2008.
“I’m the person who brought [Kanye West] to adidas,” he told Complex Style. “It was back, maybe in 2009, 2008, when he was so excited by the line, and he conveyed to me that passionately wanted to do something with them.”
It's interesting to hear this story, because it coincides with the time that Kanye was releasing his first sneaker with Nike.
