Late last year, we interviewed sneaker customizer Jake Ferrato about why he was refusing to make more python skin Air Jordans. "I'm stopping now for a lot of reasons, but I mainly just need to switch focus. I'm getting bored, and that's never good," Ferrato said.

Apparently, the demand has been too much to resist, and JBF says he's bringing them back as a "thank you" of sorts to his long-time supporters. However, this won't be a traditional JBF release, as he's partnered with streetwear blog Hypebeast to launch a black-and-grey python Jordan 1.

The unyielding demand for python Jordans, coupled with the increase in fake custom production in China, led Ferrato to revisit the concept. "I hear even Jordan Brand is releasing a pair in 2016. So working with Hypebeast is great because they’re taking care of all the promotion," Ferrato said.

His latest project will be available exclusively from the Hypebeast store on September 19 at 12 a.m. EST. Get your debit cards ready, because this could be the last chance you get at these.
