Philadelphia's Love Park, at least on the East Coast, was the stylish center for skateboarding in the late '90s and early 2000s. It appears that not much has changed, as a clip surfaced over the weekend that shows Jamal Smith skate in a pair of Nike Air Huaraches — the actual running shoes, not a hybrid makeup designed to stand up to the punishment of griptape.

In the brief run in the video, Smith is seen doing a frontside shuvit up a curb, then a frontside tailslide to fakie, which is followed by a Rick flip and a body varial.

Smith isn't skating in a pair of Yeezy Boosts, a la Piro Sierra, but this might actually be cooler for those who know their East Coast history, where non-skating shoes were often worn, including Air Max 95s and Jordans.

Either way, we can genuinely say we're glad this went down and it wasn't a hypebeasting attempt to garner attention, either.
