The team at Genius recently launched its new Rap Stats feature, which lets you compare and contrast different search terms to see which have the most mentions in rap lyrics.
Unsurprisingly, Nike sits comfortably at the top of the throne when compared to rival sneaker brands. In fact, it has pretty much dominated the sneaker field since 1988, and the only time it's been topped is during a strong run for Timberlands from around 1993 to 2002. Other than that, it's been all Nike, although Reebok managed to sneak in for a brief moment of shine in 1998, which we'll attribute to Allen Iverson.
