A Mexican man will face some hefty charges after being nabbed with nearly three pounds of methamphetamine hidden in his Air Jordans as he tried to cross the border into El Paso, Tx.

My San Antonioreports that U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officers recovered 2.4 pound of meth from the sneakers of 51-year-old Carlos Fierro. Last week, Fierro attempted to walk across the border but was stopped when an agent noticed his sneakers were carrying some extra weight.

Apparently, Fierro didn't put up much of a struggle after being taken into an inspection room and instructed to remove his sneakers. It was then that he admitted to stashing an "unknown contraband" in his kicks. Inspectors then uncovered bundles of drugs in each shoe which later tested positive for methamphetamine.

Stupid criminals are nothing new, but this dude loses extra points for rocking some awful Team Jordans.
