Remember Valentino's rather obvious homage to the Nike Air Force 1? Another famous fashion brand has just thrown its hat in the ring with its own interpretation.

Lacoste's new Turbo model features a number of cues that you should recognize, including its mid-top ankle cut and toe box design, but the most obvious inspiration here is the ankle support strap, right down to its plastic adjuster and Velcro closure. Even the placement of the iconic crocodile logo is reminiscent of the AF1's Swoosh.

One area where it looks like these may actually top the Air Force 1 is material quality. The Lacoste Turbo is built from a wheat-colored oiled leather with a suede heel collar and even features a leather liner.

You can cop them now from Bodega for $160.
