As a general rule, sneaker-themed t-shirts aren't something we'd normally want to wear. Many of the designs you'll find at Footaction or Jimmy Jazz come off as dated and uninspired with excessive matching and corny, tired slogans. However, every now and then someone manages to do it right, and this time it's coming from an unlikely source.

Straight outta Montreal, independent skateboarding brand Dime has delivered the "Shoe T-Shirt." The inspiration here should be obvious — it's a play on the Nike Air More Uptempo basketball sneaker made popular by Scottie Pippen in the mid-'90s. The subtle flip isn't nearly as obnoxious as most sneaker tees, but anyone in the know will appreciate the nod to one of Nike's most polarizing designs.

The tee has already sold out on Dime's webstore, but you can still cop it from Sweden's Très Bien now for $40.
