LIT. LIT. LIT.

Reebok have been quietly killing it lately, with their recent re-introduction of the iconic Ventilator—currently celebrating its 25th anniversary—sparking an even bigger thirst among nostalgia heads that the classics range caused already. Today, Reebok announced their latest collaboration with iconic London sneaker boutique Footpatrol, and oh, it's fucking lit.

Taking it way back on that nostalgia tip, the collaboration is inspired by the early '90s, when working out meant a fitness video in your living room, or a trip to the local leisure centre—hands up if your local still exists, you lucky devils. If you ever went to a class at a leisure centre way back when, you'll know about 'the step'. That pink-or-purple plastic step was the centrepiece for a generation's attempt to get fit all over the country.

The construction on these sneakers is mad; the upper is mostly made up of white terry towelling material, with porcelain and crystal blue synthetic suede overlays, and reversed Reebok branding on the side paneling, sitting above a clean white midsole and contrasting outsole.

The standard tongue label is replaced by a flippable woven label, the kind that you normally get on T-shirts and towels, only this one doesn't tell you how to wash anything, it's just got the iconic Footpatrol logo, with a little Reebok twist. In a move that should please 'heads everywhere, these kicks will come ready with three pairs of rope laces; white, crystal blue, and a nautical multi-coloured flecked option.
