The benefit of Air Jordan styles being numbered is they can fit into so many other cultural applications, but none are as useful as the clock. We’ve seen folks set up actual sneaker shelves to replicate a clock that tells time, but that can get expensive. And if you want to actually wear your pairs, telling time may get tricky.
Wood working experts GoodWood have created a classy solution to this problem. One of their latest offerings, the Retro J’s Round Clock, uses wood etchings of the iconic silhouettes in place of numbers on a small clock face. The wall mounted time piece is made almost entirely of wood and features simple line drawn interpretations of the shoes, as well as GoodWood’s logo, and metal watch hands. The size is demure at only 7 inches, so it can fit into almost any living situation, and comes in two colors, Lite and Grey. They’re currently in stock at GoodWood’s online store but they don’t include batteries. So you’ve got to bring your own power.
