The Kanye Westification of the sneaker game has been under way for quite some time, and it shows no signs of letting up — just look at adidas' upcoming inline offerings. Nike, who hasn't put out a Kanye West-designed sneaker since 2014, continues to use the colorways that were made famous by the Yeezy 1 and 2, specifically the combination of pink, black, and glow-in-the-dark green.

The latest model to take on this approach to making up a silhouette is the Jordan Son of Mars.

Trading in the pink for a dark red, this version of the hybrid sneaker was teased today on Instagram, showing it from multiple angles. It's an easy sell for Jordan Brand. People still want anything that's even closely related to Kanye. But it begs to ask the question: "When have things gone too far?"

With Kanye putting all of his attention in the fashion world to his first collection with adidas, it's time for Nike to move on. It's near the equivalent of breaking up with a girlfriend, and then continuing to talk about her over and over again.

It's reached a point where if we wanted some Yeezys we'll just get them with the Three Stripes.
