Long time collaborator Taka Hayashi is paying tribute to Van's iconic checkerboard pattern in his latest Vault by Vans release.
Using his signature TH Sk8-Mid Skool LX as the canvas, Hayashi communicates the pattern in two unique ways. One the "Black" leather colorway, Hayashi uses literal representation of the checkerboard with a print across the side panels. On the "Brick" suede version, Hayashi opts for woven detailing to create the pattern. Both colorways sit on vulcanized waffle outsoles that feature embossed midsole details. Slated to release this March at select Vans retailers, the latest Hayashi releases will have a sticker price of $150.
