After dropping a fiery all-red colorway of the lifestyle Kobe 9 Highs, Nike's set to release another version that takes Kobe's Black Mamba nickname very literally.
The murdered-out Kobe 9 KRM EXT features molded scales that work their away from the quarter to the toe, taking inspiration from an actual black mamba snake. It's a completely different texture from the raised geometric pattern found on the all-red colorway. The collar and heel on the super high-top is covered in black snakeskin paneling, while the midsole features chrome shanks and a blacked-out Lunar sole.
You can pick up these monochromatic Kobe 9s when they drop on December 31 at 8 a.m. EST through Nike Store. Retail is $275.
