Earlier this week, it was discovered that Nike was suing three former senior designers who had left the company in September to join adidas. Denis Dekovic, Mark Miner, and Marc Dolce were accused of violating their non-compete clauses with Nike and sharing proprietary information with adidas.

Perhaps the most damning piece from the lawsuit is centered around Dekovic, the former design director for Nike's Football program and the man behind the game-changing Magista boot.

According to Sole Collector, who obtained court documents from the case, in which Nike is seeking $10 million in damages, Dekovic had plans to launch a high-end footwear company called Moonwalker that was connected to the late Michael Jackson. The two were personal friends and Dekovic worked directly alongside Jackson for a year developing the line.

Excerpts from the lawsuit include an email that Dekovic sent to High Snobiety Founder David Fischer where he requests that Fischer keep the project on the low, admitting "I could be in hot waters for doing this."

Head over to Sole Collector to read more about Dekovic's plans with Moonwalker.
