Jordan Brand's "Christmas" Collection Is Actually Inspired by the Air Jordan VII

Jordan Brand unveils its "Christmas" collection for its athletes including Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul.

Jordan Brand "Christmas" Collection

With the holidays in full effect, Jordan Brand has officially revealed the sneakers its premier athletes will be rocking on the hardwood on Christmas day, which has become an annual tradition for both Nike and the Jumpman.

The 2014 "Christmas" collection features the Super.Fly 3, the Melo M11, which was just unveiled on Monday, and the CP3.VIII.

This year's lineup is extra special because the overall collection is actually inspired by the Air Jordan VII "Cardinal," which MJ himself laced during an epic Christmas Day game against the Knicks in 1992. The G.O.A.T. dropped 42 points and led the Bulls to victory in a game that many consider one of his finest performances.

The shade of Cardinal red and hits of bronze from the VII are colors that are heavily incorporated on each of this year's holiday sneakers, which will be worn by the likes of Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and Russell Westbrook.

Watch for the entire collection to drop on December 24 on Nike Store and through select Jordan Brand retailers.
