World renowned artists Kevin Lyons and Jean André are the latest creatives to contribute their vision and work to adidas in an upcoming collaboration to kick off the event, All Day I Dream About Stripes.
The first one kicks off at the HVW8 gallery in West Hollywood, CA with Lyon and André's creations being featured. Lyon's work on the adidas Seely stems from his fascination of water color on paper backgrounds and describes the work as being "analog, thermodynamic Predator-like pattern" André's piece, done of the adidas Ease, is a self described "thugged out" black-white pair which incorporates an all-over pattern on leaves and women's lips emphasizing the similarities between the two. Topping off his design is the inclusion of a female print on the insole.
The exhibition starts Saturday, November 15 and runs til Sunday, December 28, 2014. A follow-up installation is also slated for Art Basel in Miami from December 3 to December 7 along with yet to be pop-up galleries in Europe.
