Winter can be a struggle for sneakerheads. Snow, sand, salt… almost everything is positioned against keeping your sneakers crispy (unless they get wet and freeze solid, but that’s the wrong kind of crispy). Some ‘heads reach for beaters, some risk it for the look, others box their sneakers up and move to boots. Nike doesn’t want anyone to have to choose this year and decided to winterize the Air Max 90. Kind of.

The Nike Air Max 90 Sneakerboot Winter redefines the word “inspiration,” by taking some solid Air Max 90 elements and putting them on a rugged boot. The midsole remains intact, with the signature air bubble, but the outsole has significant added grip. The swoosh is in the same place, right above the trapezoid “AIR MAX” branding above the air bubble. And then there are the rubber eyelets. The rubber eyelets on the Air Max 90 have always been an exciting creative space to help colorways sing or highlight overlooked pops of color. The Air Max 90 Sneakerboot Winter and put that same element onto the shoe while removing the actual usage of the eyelets.

Maybe this winter will still be a struggle, with or without the Air Max 90 Sneakerboot Winter.

If you feel so inclined, some of these are available to purchase from Atmos now.
