Burn Rubber and Fila have teamed up to pay tribute to all the hustlers. The Original Tennis model represented the go-to sneaker of every D-Boy from the late '80s and early '90s, and the Detroit-based retailer is releasing a special version to recognize that hustler mindset.
The Fila Original Tennis “Doughboy” is outfitted in a burgundy leather and suede upper with navy and off-white accents on the tongue, eyelets, and Fila branding. Below sits a matching burgundy midsole and the always popular gum bottom.
In addition to the Fila sneakers, Burn Rubber is also releasing a capsule that includes a duffel bag from O.G. sneakerhead Mayor and Flud watches, a hoodie, jogging pants, and a snapback. Look for the entire “Doughboy” collection to drop this Saturday, September 27, in-store at noon followed by an online drop at 8 p.m. EST.
