Dame Dash, the co-founder and former CEO of Roc-A-Fella Records, was responsible for putting a lot of rappers on the map during the ROC's heyday. He's also part of the reason the world knows Kanye West's name.
Dash recently connected with Sneaker Watch and had a chance to talk about Kanye's Nike Air Yeezy sneaker. His response might actually surprise you, though. "I missed that whole thing, man. I didn't even know about it," Dash said. "I'm not one to be paying too much attention to what another dude's doing."
After being told that the "Red October" Yeezys sell for $5,000, Dash thought it was dope that Kanye has the ability to touch the world like that.
For a man who stays fly and keeps his ear to the streets, we're stunned Dame didn't know about the Yeeyzs. And it's not like he's a slouch when it comes to sneakers, either. Let's not forget that he gained ownership of PRO-Keds at one point and was even in the Just for Kicks documentary where he showed off his collection of sneakers.
