Julius Randle was projected to be a top 5 pick in last night's NBA Draft, and going into last season he was projected as the second best player in the nation. A nagging foot injury from high school that never properly healed led to his draft stock falling slightly, which left him available at the 7 spot for the Los Angeles Lakers. Now Randle isn't only a teammate with Kobe on the Lake show, but also with Nike, as he just signed a deal with the Swoosh following the draft.

Nike tweeted out their congratulations to the Kentucky big man, who is no stranger to wearing Nike, as they are the official sponsors of the Wild Cats. Throughout his college season, Randle was seen rocking a wide variety of Nike kicks, none more then the LeBron 11. Randle has the skill set and drive to become a top player in the league, and under the watchful eye of Kobe Bryant, you know he will be hard at work to fine tune his skills and help the Lakers move towards the top of the Western Conference once again. What do you think of Julius Randle signing with Nike, and what will be his impact in his rookie season? Hit us up @SneakerReport with your thoughts.
