With the plethora of announcements surrounding non-athlete sneaker endorsements popping up, the landscape for sneaker "branding" has completely changed. It's been apparent for years that one does not simply buy sneakers to play ball, go for a run or cross train. More and more "lifestyle" variations are coming to life, which means more and more lifestyle influencers should be touted for their stronghold on society's choices.

But it doesn't need to end with Kanye, Pharrell or Drake. Hell, it doesn't even need to end with rappers, in general. It's time we acknowledge those athletically-challenged people that have just as much clout to shape our sneaker decisions as a majority of the athletes on Jordan Brand's roster.
