After a quiet night in New York, Dirk Nowitzki finally erupted late to pull his Dallas Mavericks to a close 110-108 victory over the New York Knicks in a PE of the Nike Hyperdunk 2012. Nowitzki shot just 6-for-13 and scored 15 points with the most important bucket coming at the end of the game.

With the game knotted at 108, Dirk found himself at the top of the free-throw line with Carmelo Anthony guarding him. Somehow, he found a way to get up a contested shot and the ball had a lucky bounce off the glass and hitting the edge of the rim that eventually came down through the net. Nowitzki actually had not scored in the previous 18 minutes before this game-winning bucket.
