Hypebeast recently had the opportunity to go behind-the-scenes and check out the process behind making New Balance's new "Three Peaks" pack of the 576. The trio was inspired by the England's Three Peaks Challenge, during which participants have the opportunity to scale three of the UK's highest mountains in 24 hours—and thus, the “Ben Nevis,” “Scarfell” and “Snowden” were born.
Each pair of 576s pulls inspiration from the outdoors, noting three rugged looks on the brand model. New Balance's "Three Peaks" collection will become available on January 1 through select NB carriers, retailing at $220.
During Hypebeast's trip to the UK, they were awarded the opportunity to take on the Three Peaks Challenge. They began by donning the 576 while scaling Scarfell Mountain, but before they completed the task, New Balance gave them the chance to create custom one-offs of the 576.
