It should go without saying, but sneaker contracts were dealing with quite a different amount of money back in the '70s, as opposed to what they are now. Today we're seeing multi-million dollar deals, but Dr. J recently disclosed that his first sneaker contract with Converse was for $15K - $25K.  Oh, and he also says that they still owe him money.

In a recent sit-down with Bleacher Report, Julius Erving detailed his initial shoe deal as well as went on to speak about how involved he has been with the brand throughout the years. The iconic baller also revealed that he was consulted quite a bit during the design process for his kicks. To hear exactly what the Dr. had to say regarding his first-ever sneaker deal, follow the link on over to Bleach Report, as you can then peep the video interview. My how the times have changed.
